January 2011 Blogshop at the Santa Fe Complex
In this blogging workshop, you will have a self-hosted blog set up and ready to go in two days! Here’s exactly what we will cover:
DAY 1:
• Introduction to Blogging, Market and Keywords
• Deciding on a domain name for your blog
• Purchasing a hosting package and domain name from Hostgator
• Installing WordPress
The first half of Day 1 is learning about blogging; the second half is technical. We split the workshop into 2 days to make sure everyone’s blog has a chance to propagate.
DAY 2:
• Learning the basics of WordPress: Posts, Pages, Comments, Links, Header, Widgets, Plugins and Media Library
